Zip rope guide
How the Heroes MMO zip rope works: controls, range, chaining zips and advanced tricks.
What it does
The zip rope is your main way to move. Press E to shoot a rope and pull yourself to where it hits rock or a platform. You reach cliffs that no jump can reach, cross gaps, and get away from monsters.
Controls
- E shoots the rope. On a computer it aims at your mouse and a preview shows where it lands.
- W plus E shoots straight up.
- Next to a wall the rope runs up along the wall.
- Space ends a zip early.
Range and cooldown
The rope reaches about 21 tiles and recharges in about half a second, so you can fire it again almost right away.
Chaining zips
You can fire the rope in mid-air and out of attacks. When a zip ends you get momentum and your double jump back, so a rope, a jump and another rope carries you across a whole map without touching the ground.
Tips
- Aim for the edge of a platform, the rope pulls you over the top.
- Zip above monsters instead of fighting everything on the way to a quest.
- Fell into a pit? Zip straight up with W plus E.
