Privacy Policy
Who we are
Heroes MMO is operated by EXPERTMEDIZIN BEDARF LIMITED, Suite C, Level 7, World Trust Tower, 50 Stanley Street, Central, Hong Kong ("we"). Questions about your data go to xyo(at)heroesmmo.com.
The short version
We do not sell your data. We show no ads and use no analytics or tracking tools. You do not need an email address to play. We only keep what the game needs to run.
Data we collect
- Account: your username, a securely hashed password, your key bindings, the account creation date and any ban status.
- Game data: your heroes, their look, level, items, gold, quests and titles, plus friends, party, guild and ignore lists.
- Chat and reports: chat messages go to other players. Your recent messages are kept briefly on the server. If someone reports you, the reason and your recent messages are stored for review. Messages to or near computer-controlled characters may be logged to run them.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser details and requests appear in server logs and are used for security and to limit abuse.
- Data on your device: your browser stores your login token, language and display settings locally. We set no cookies of our own. Cloudflare may set a technical security cookie.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
To provide the game and your account (contract). To keep the game safe, stop cheating, handle reports and fix errors (legitimate interests). To meet legal duties where they apply (legal obligation).
Who can see it
- Other players see your hero name, level, look, title, guild and chat messages.
- Service providers: our hosting provider, with servers in Switzerland, and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site. They process data for us only as needed for their service.
- Authorities: we disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect players and the game.
- A buyer or successor, if the game is ever sold or transferred.
International transfers
We are based in Hong Kong, the servers are in Switzerland and Cloudflare works worldwide, so your data may be processed outside your country. We take reasonable steps to protect it there.
How long we keep it
- Account and game data: as long as your account exists, and until we delete it at your request.
- Server logs: up to 14 days.
- Reports: as long as needed for moderation.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in backups for a limited time.
Security
Passwords are stored only as hashes, connections are encrypted, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so use a password you use nowhere else.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy, and you can object to processing. Write to xyo(at)heroesmmo.com and name your username and hero. We may ask you to prove the account is yours. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Heroes MMO is not meant for children under 13. In the EEA and the UK, players under 16 need a parent or guardian to agree. If you think a child gave us data without this, contact us and we will delete it.
Computer-controlled characters
Some characters in the game are run by software, and they can react to chat. We do not use your data to make decisions that have legal effects on you.

Our pages link to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Changes
We update this policy when the game or the law changes, and we show the date at the top. For important changes we will post a notice on the site or in the game.
